The cross is not just bigger than you have been told, it is better!

God rides into all of our lives on a Mule. He shows up in the ridiculous places. In the most humbling of circumstances he desires to appear. Sometimes he shows up to let us know He is King and is still with us, some times to remind us of what kind of King he is.

Sometimes there is a shorter way to get where we are going, but the point isn't speed, it's transformation.

Some things make no sense, until they do.  And until they do, they don’t.  But if they don’t it doesn’t mean they never will.  

We have so much more to give when we are not broken, but what you may discover if you look honestly inside, is that the truth we offer when we are not broken is the stuff we learned when we where.  This is week one in our Journey towards Easter.

If we don't know what we are looking for, how do we know if we haven't already found it.

Have you ever felt unworthy of a moment?  And was it difficult to enjoy?  Is it because we haven't been entirely been honest, or because we just don't feel good enough.  This encounter with Jesus that is recorded in Lukes account of his life sheds some light on Grace and why we are not perfect, but always worthy.

We often experience unbelievable things, some of which we may call miraculous.  But if we redefined miracle as 'the unexpected'....would it change the way we find God in our stories?

Sometimes we miss what God is up to because of how God is doing it.  In this awkward dinner with Jesus we are reminded to not only allow people the opportunity to change, but to allow ourselves the same grace.  

What price would you pay for someone else's freedom?

Sometimes it takes more faith to let Jesus in your boat than it does to get out and walk on water.
